Linda is a registered Conservation Architect with the RIBA. She has worked on listed buildings and conservation projects in south and west Wales for over 30 years.
BABB Architects are currently working on a number of listed building projects including an extension to a listed building and slate-hanging an elevation of a listed building.
The following provides information on a selection of other projects which Linda and Rhodri have worked on, evidencing their experience. As BABB Architects is a new practice, projects that were undertaken at Acanthus Holden (AH), their previous practice, are acknowledged. For each project their roles are described.
Penrhiw Priory Hotel, St Davids, Pembrokeshire
This scheme was the restoration and conversion of Penrhiw Priory in St Davids for the Retreats Group. The project involved the conversion of a Grade II listed building to a hotel. This building was originally built as a vicarage in 1882-1884 and had since been used as a convent and a retreat. In the 1960’s a number of unsympathetic extensions were added. As part of the scheme these were demolished, and the lost part of the elevation restored. Involvement was from inception to completion.
